CLASS COLOR TEMP in Kelvin Degrees O Blue > 25,000 B Blue 11,000-25,000 A Blue 7,500-11,000 F Blue to White 6,000-7,500 G White to Yellow 5,000-6,000 K Orange to Red 3,500-5,000 M Red < 3,500

The above spectral classes are, in turn divided into ten gradations--from zero to nine. So the hottest class G stars are G0; and the coolest class G stars are G9.

Note: the only candidates for earth-like worlds are "main sequence stars" of spectral classes F, G, and K.
