Anderson, Bob. All About Fencing. New York: Arco Publishing Co. 1970. ISBN: 0-668-02428-3. [a small book covering the basics of foil fencing; it has some nifty "motion pictures" of fencing moves effected by fluttering the corners of the book's pages.]
Barbasetti, Luigi. The Art of the Foil . New York: Barnes & Noble Books. 1998. ISBN: 0-7607-0943-2. [a book originally translated into English in 1932 which covers the basic fundamentals of foil fencing and has an extensive discussion of moves including binds, change-beats and other moves not normally covered in other books. Also includes a short history of fencing. Recommended.]
de Beaumont, C.L. Your Book of Fencing . London: Faber and Faber. 1970. ISBN: 0-571-08809-0. [a small book which covers the basic fundamentals of foil fencing and has a scanty discussion of sabre and épée.]
Deladrier, Clovis. Modern Fencing. Annapolis: United States Naval Institute. 1967. ISBN: 0-668-02452-6. [a decent book with lots of lessons and exercises for all three weapons; some good pictures too]

University Park: Penn State Press. 1994. ISBN: 0-271-01019-3 [one of my favorite books; more for coaches, but intermediate to advanced fencers will find it valuable too]
Nadi, Aldo. On Fencing. Laureate Press. 1994. ISBN: 1-884-52804-X [Secrets of one of the world's greatest fencers of the 20's, 30's and 40's. A classic; but it's a difficult read.]
Vass, Imre. Epée Fencing: a complete system. SKA Swordplay Books. 1998. ISBN: 0-9659468-3-5 [The only book I've encountered on epée per se. This is a translation of a 1976 Hungarian book. A very interesting book with diagrams which are very helpful. Recommended for epéeists and their coaches.]
Ask Fred[check and sign-up for tournaments all across the country. Find out the results of tournaments that have already occurred. Very Highly Recommended]]
[The épée fencing club I spar at. It's dedicated to introducing fencing to as many young people as possible . . . a goal I heartily endorse. It's also the single best place to fence épée in town; the toughest players in the Cleveland area fence here.]
